Faber Construction has a renewed outlook when it comes to integrating green building practices in all of our projects both big and small. Ensuring the project is designed with various green principles such as energy efficiency, resource efficiency, water conservation, indoor environmental quality, and site/community impact. We have made strong efforts with our company as a whole to change the way our procedures were conducted to a more sustainable approach. A small example of a particular change we have made within the company is that we are now actively involved in separating our excess materials from various jobs to designated recycle bins at our supply yard. We have embraced the belief that waste management and processes need to be planned and sorted where it’s generated, on site. It's a strong mentality that we at Faber Construction have all come to believe in through and through.
Sustainable Design LEED Certifications
Having just completed our first LEED certified building for the Port of Bellingham in Fairhaven, WA, this has equipped us with a greater understanding of what is all involved when LEED is integrated into the building design and construction process. The documentation and implementation of green tactics are constantly evolving to make the process more efficient and streamlined. Faber Construction is always striving to be the most current and proficient in sustainable solutions.
Green Development
Planning on building in an environmentally sensitive area? Let us help. Faber Construction is able to mitigate even the toughest environmental issues. Our experienced designers are able to work with the governing authority to come up with solutions that work for both parties. We have the clear knowledge and understanding of the sensitivity and how to work with the requirements. Having built many homes and recreational facilities next to various lakes and streams, there is not much that we have not dealt with. Developing in sensitive areas is a challenge that we take on with pride. Wildwood Resort on Lake Whatcom is a current project that we are finishing up. It is 15 acre parcel with 1500ft of prime lakefront, which now has been developed into a private camping resort. Check it out at wildwoodlakefrontcottages.com
