BELLINGHAM, WA — Faber Construction is proud to announce the successful completion of the new Peoples Bank Fairhaven Branch, a modern, two-story, ground-up banking facility located in the heart of Bellingham's historic Fairhaven district. The project officially opened to the public in January 2026, marking a milestone expansion of Peoples Bank's long-standing commitment to the Fairhaven community.

Construction began in April 2025, with Faber engaged early on to provide preconstruction leadership focused on cost certainty, constructability, and neighborhood-sensitive execution. A collaborative partnership allowed for close coordination between the owner, design team, and builder—supporting informed decision-making, disciplined cost management, and efficient sequencing within a tight urban site. Seamless site logistics and proactive safety planning were critical to maintaining progress while respecting surrounding businesses, pedestrian traffic, and the character of the historic district.

Designed with a clean, contemporary aesthetic, the new fairhaven branch elevates the customer experience while reinforcing people's Bank's community-first values. The building introduces a modern banking environment that balances openness, functionality, and durability—built to support long-term operations and evolving customer needs. Located at 1315 12th Street, adjacent to Haggen Grocery, the branch strengthens Peoples Bank's physical presence in Fairhaven, where it has proudly served customers since 1998.

Faber continues to partner with mission-driven owners to deliver spaces that serve both people and place. The Peoples Bank Fairhaven Branch project reinforces Faber Construction's experience delivering ground-up commercial buildings, financial institutions, and community-focused developments throughout Washington State.
