Whatcom Creek Bridge Replacement
Our first bridge project! The north Railroad Avenue Trail bridge crossing Whatcom Creek in Bellingham caught fire in 2012. The bridge was originally part of a railway crossing but was damaged in the fire and needed to be replaced. Faber, with the help of Sicklesteel Cranes, bolted together the two halves of the new, 38,000-pound clear-span steel bridge and placed it over the creek. The 110 foot long and 10 foot wide pedestrian/cycling bridge will soon be reopened to the public. We are thrilled to have a part in reopening the well used connector trail.
