A Functional Facility for Fire Professionals
The renovation of Fire Station 18 was a full reconstruction of the existing building that targeted LEED Gold status. While the building had been retrofitted in 1998, it was not meeting current codes. So we made significant structural upgrades and improvements to the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
Additions to the corners of the building provided expanded office, training, shop, and storage space. Renovations to the building interior added single-occupant bunks for all station personnel, a secure lobby, and upgraded office and training facilities.
