Lake Creek & Norway Park Fish Passage
The Lake Creek & Norway Park fish passage involved replacing two failing in-line culverts on a stretch of SR9 with three-sided box culverts. While looking at the design plans, Faber noticed places where we could value engineer more feasible ways to work around geo-technical problems. By being a presence in preconstruction, the geo-technical that Faber provided as a solution was used and saved both Faber and the WSDOT considerable money and created a successful project. Although each passage had its own nuances, for both Faber had to work around wetlands and create pilings into the ground to allow for the structures to settle and not sink.
