Lincoln St Sidewalk Improvements
Lincoln Street previously had no sidewalks for local residents and users of the nearby park and ride, making it unsafe for pedestrians to walk along this busy street. This project consisted of installing porous concrete sidewalks, new curbs and gutters and fixing drainage issues by installing underground stormwater facilities. Selective excavation was also required to remove trees that had been growing onto the road and to preserve other trees. Faber also had to watch for the high amount of traffic that uses Lincoln St. With the completion of this project the City of Bellingham is left with a safer road for both pedestrians and drivers.
