Sumas Elementary School
The Sumas Elementary School project included the new construction of a 45,000 square foot school building for the Nooksack Valley School District. This was a two story building with classrooms, a gymnasium, offices, a cafeteria, and various other administration and student rooms, all built on a raised foundation, with a crawl space designed to withstand the flooding that affects the area. There was also an outdoor play area constructed, and some pre-existing portable offices were moved on the property. In addition, this project included the demo of the old school building and new sitework and landscaping for the new building.
